Long oval skull caps

Can anyone recommend a skull cap that fits like a OneK long oval helmet?

The One K model doesn’t have MIPS, otherwise I’d buy that.

thanks!

I’d also like a recommendation, I fit perfect in a CO GR8 but would love a skull cap option. Most seem to be round.

Champion ventair or Charles Owen 4 Star both fit my long oval head well.

I have a very oval head and the CO 4Star fits me really well. The CO MIPS Boyd Martin skull cap didn’t fit me at all (if that helps narrow down choices).

I forgot to mention the Back on Track Lynx skull cap is another good one for long oval heads, it’s MIPS certified but a bit lighter weight than the Champion or Charles Owen 4 star, both of which performed better in the Virgina Tech helmet study. I spent a lot of time in Kentucky last spring trying on helmets after I fell hard in my Champion ventair Revolve MIPS skull cap last Jan schooling. It performed well (no concussion, yay!) but they are expensive, especially in the US. I also tried the Arro but it felt rounder to me and a bit too much like a motorcycle helmet.

The MS1 Pro is designed for oval shaped heads. It was the closest comparable I could find to my beloved OneK (imissyou)

FWIW - i really wanted the Lynx, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t be comfortable in one. I have a very sensitive head, though.

Are these the same helmet? I see some ads that call it the MS1 Pro and others that call it the CO Boyd MS1 Pro.

I don’t really know. I just know the skull cap collab they did with Boyd didn’t fit me.

Weirdly, no. The Boyd helmet is made to fit round heads.

I got mine from the UK so I’m not sure. I know they have various “versions” of them depending on the BNR or equestrian influencer, so it theoretically could be the same. :joy:

Both the Boyd version and the standard MS1 come with “round fit” in a few sizes, I’m fairly certain they’re the exact same (the Boyd version is just navy blue with a cover & signature)

Yes looks like they do a Boyd, Esme and Harlow White version of the MS1 Pro, just with different trim.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Going to try a few out ASAP.

Oh! That makes more sense to my brain now.

Thanks for all the advice folks - I got a Charles Owen MS1 Pro for £160 in the UK and it fits great and is comfortable. Not exactly low profile but brain health tops vanity!
