Look at my boy....

We had a clinic over the weekend. He was kinda of an ass…kicking at my leg and not using himself, but the second day was much better!! I love my new saddle!!!

He’s handsome but what about some stats such as age, breed, height, etc. etc. And what type of saddle?

What a cutie! I love all the white on a bay!

What type of saddle did you get?

And yes the particulars would be good about your boy.

“The older I get, the better I used to be, but who the heck cares!”

Not to be a disagreeable old coot, but I suggest that you put your glasses on? He’s a CHESTNUT!!!

8yr old Dutch Warmblood (Recent Import from the Netherlands). Ramiro/Amor breeding. I think he is about 16.1/16.2 (Im very tall; 5’11").

I bought a Stubben Sandica (which has been wonderful)! I had asked about it a couple of weeks back and got some good feedback from everyone…just wanted to say “you were right, its a great saddle!!”

ELJ, you look super! What a nice horse! Who taught the clinic? How many days did you guys ride in total 2? What did you guys learn at the clinic? Aren’t I just full of what’s???!!!

Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my!!

I know ELJ had scheduled a clinic with her for that weekend, so I’m presuming that’s who it was with. She lives in the area, but I don’t know anything about her.

Hey Almos…You should have got your hobbling butt out there to say hello!!!
She is from El Paso…very well respected trainer/competitor. They did a write up on her in the COTH (not sure of the date) last year about how well her students were doing in Reg. V. She rides Training thru Grand Prix and has the talent to actually teach what she says! She was an instructor at Movar Park (sp?) and was elected to ride in the 3 day team in the early 70’s. She has been doing straight dressage for 18 years now and has a wonderful barn in the El Paso area. I love the way she teaches… She can get her point across well!! Ruth (from Ranch Mart) has rode with her for years and has horses in training currently. She was also recommended to me from K. Kyle and A. Hays when I was complaining about instructors in our area. I would ride with her anytime I could…she was tough and did not take much mercy on me which I liked…and from the first day to the second day I saw a much improved in my horse/movement. That horse is hard to ride…can be very HOT tempered (so much for dumbloods sterotypes, LOL) and she really helped me to understand how to not dwell on his “buttheadishness” (thats my new word today)!!!
