Or 5 1/4". A good friend of mine says she can only find 5", which I find hard to believe.

I’ve had good luck getting 5.5 to 6 inch bits at drafthorsetack.com…but just checked and they had no ported pelhams. Might be worth contacting them though, they do say they’ll work with a customer to fill their needs.
In a quick google the only ported pelhams I saw were indeed only available in 5 inch…
I feel better now - I hunted everywhere for one and they only place who thought they had them couldn’t get them in the end. I ended up with a Kimberwick… different, but seems to be doing the job.
eBay, lots a pelhams always listed there in various sizes. Mikmars and Mylers both come in larger sizes in ported pelhams.
How big of a port?
I was at the farm house the other day and saw they had a 5.5" 'Hartwell" ported pelham. 864- 457-3557 - i was reminiscing about my old hunt horse turned jumper - he had a big mouth to fit =)
it wasnt a high polo port it was just an average port IMO. i think it was like 34 bucks? or somethign?
if you still need it im sure they’d ship it to you.
