Hopefully you guys can help me out. I am moving with the horse (and cats and all my worldly possessions) in June, and my halfway mark is around Memphis TN. I am looking for a place to stop for an overnight with the beast and have not had much luck with my usual websites. Anyone have suggestions for better places to look, or farms in western TN, northwestern Mississippi, or eastern Arkansas that would be a good stopover?
We rely on Horsemotels.com and have had reasonable luck.
In Jackson you might try http://www.journeys-end-stables.com/ They are on Horsemotels. We stayed there two years ago and it was OK. The worst part was Google Maps mislocated the property by about 1000 yards and that meant we had to wander TN back roads at night pulling a 28 foot trailer making a big loop 'cause there was no place to turn around! We were on the phone with the owner and she was very helpful. I hope she’s got a bigger sign; that might have helped!!! 
The other place is http://www.shadycreekranch.net/ Looks pretty nice. It’s about 3 miles off the interstate (depending on which route you might take). Haven’t been there personally.
