Recently moved to New York and currently horseless. My daughter and I both ride at what I guess you could call the intermediate level. We would like to switch from Hunters to Dressage and we are looking for a dressage barn with either lease options or would provide help in finding us a suitable dressage horse and of course boarding it. We’re interested in showing at the local level, not necessarily rated shows or Florida in the winter. Preferably in Orange or Dutchess County NY. Any suggestions?

Rivendell Riding Academy in Clinton Corners is fantastic. They are primarily an eventing barn but have dressage riders. Many people have been riding with Tracie Ruzicka, the owner, for decades – and there’s good reason for that loyalty.

Do you personally know these barns?
No, just trying to give the OP some leads to investigate. I know some of the trainers from the shows/mutual friends, and have heard about others because I used to live in the area.
