Looking for dressage barn or trainer near Tyler Texas

I have a very motivated student moving to Tyler next week and she would like to find a place to continue learning. She is currently showing first level and does not yet own her own horse.

Maybe ask out here? https://www.facebook.com/netexdressage

Having just moved away from that area. . . I hate to say the pickings are slim. . There are several good clinicians that visit regularly. And the Tri-State Dressage Society has decent schooling shows and clinics.

For not having her own horse, I would recommend Ellen Doughty Hume, she is an eventer, and is 30-45 minutes NW of Tyler, though I might be overestimating the drive. She is lovely, and has school horses.

The problem with the trainers in the area is that no one (that I know of) has school horses that are capable of teaching beyond basic riding skills.

Never go to Ellen Doughty. Look her up on here. There’s like 1500 posts!! The woman is a scam artist. Needs to be in prison . Oh wait…. She does have mug shots on here!!!:joy::crazy_face::face_vomiting:
