Looking for Dressage Instructor near Knoxville, TN

Hey everyone! Does anyone know of any dressage instructors in the Knoxville, TN, area that might be willing to give “off of the farm” lessons?

Myself and several other riders are in veterinary school at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate,TN (about 1 hr. north of Knoxville). A group of use are boarding at a farm in Ewing, VA. We are all keenly interested in finding someone who would be willing to give a few lessons on a monthly basis. Our abilities are pretty varied, from intro to (I believe) 2nd level. We would happily pitch in not only per person instruction fees but a reasonable travel fee as well to make sure no one gets a raw deal. It is also possible other students who board elsewhere would be interested in trailering in for a lesson.

If you are an interested instructor, or maybe have some leads on contacts please let me know. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

I am sure there are more, some of the L judge grads, I didn’t copy. And, I’m sure there are some Certified Instructors who are not listed as they don’t pay the annual listing fee.

I got them here:http://www.usdf.org/about/contact/officials.asp

Ewing, VA is a long way from Knoxville.

Joni Abney is based in Mascot, TN which is at least the right direction outside Knoxville, but I don’t know if she travels.

You might post this on Crossroads Dressage CT Facebook page and see if you get some suggestions.

Joni Abney is a good one to try and you also might want to try Mattalyn Hughes, I think her website is Mattalynhughesdressage.com and she is on facebook also. They are both in the north/east part of Knoxville.
