Even an independent fitter is going to have a limited variety of saddles to offer. My fitter is “independent” and offers a choice of new saddles from four makers. I think that’s pretty good.
Emily Jenkins bastian does saddle fitting. I do not know how many saddles she has on hand, but she does get saddle from several other saddle fitters.
you may have more luck putting the location in the description. Another option to consider is having appointment A where the fitter discusses what brands and saddle styles will work for the horse and rider. Rider takes as many saddles out on trial as possible from a consignment store. Bring fitter back out for appointment B. I’ve found that a lot of consignment stores are okay with someone taking a good number of saddles out if they are taken out and brought back the same day with a credit card on file but that may not be a universal option.

Yes. That’s why I said in the subject line because someone scrolling may not click a general topic but if they saw Detroit would think “I know someone in that area” and open the thread.
