I am trying to track down anyone who may know Barney AKA Big Ben. 
This is a big (about 18 hands) black Percheron gelding between 18 and 22 years old. He has a long white "star: a faint ring of white hair around his right eye, and a white patch on his belly between his hind legs. His tail has been docked very short (less than 4 inches of bone left)
I got him from a ranch in south Louisiana. They got his through a dealer called Southwest Livestock Co. They were told he came from Minnesota and had been a carriage horse all his life. His age in 2005 was given as 13, and he was listed as an unregistered Percheron named Barney. The ranch people changed his name to Big Ben. They bought Ben, a Roberts vis-a-vis carriage and his harness as a package deal from the broker.
His coggins papers drawn while he was in the broker’s possession gives his name as Barney. I have several photos of him on my website. The address is at the bottom of my signature.
