Looking for info on saddle fitter in Austin, Texas: Carol Patty @ Capstone Saddlery

Sorry for the cross-post, but I am trying to reach a broad audience.

I am searching for a saddle fitter in the Austin, Texas, area and came across Carol Patty’s website: http://www.capstonesaddlery.com/. Does anyone here have any experience with Carol/Capstone Saddlery? I am looking to have someone adjust the flocking in my saddle or assist me in purchasing a new saddle if my current saddle cannot fit my horse.

Also, please feel free to suggest any other saddle fitters (either to seek out or to avoid)—I haven’t been able to find out much online. Thanks in advance!

I used her once at a show…very nice, seemed knowledgeable. I didn’t use her for anything major just a quick fix but she pointed out some things that needed to be done. And sure enough when my regular saddle fitter was out a few weeks later she identified those same issues and corrected them.

She was recommended to me by the manager of a tack shop in my area. If you’re near her I’m sure you’ll have better luck, but we couldn’t ever get together.

I’ve used Tess Wheat, who’s sort of in the Austin area. I think she’s in the Hill Country. Really happy with her work.
