Bumping this post. Still looking.
Contact Danny and Ron ( Danny and Ron’s Rescue) to see what they have or know of. They are in contact with all kinds of rescues.
There are some cute JRT/JRT-mixes at Saving Grace, which is located outside of Raleigh, NC (not too far). I have a Saving Grace dog – they are the best!

Just judging from the quality of their pictures, this looks like a fantastic rescue! Way to put the dogs in a beautiful light! Just makes me want to take them all home!
I also would suggest looking for a local JRT rescue. We have two here that are always looking for good homes, but being on the opposite corner of the country, you probably need something closer.
Good luck. We have two JRTs, one just recently added, and they are the best dogs (helps that the older one is proving to be a great mentor for the younger).
Does the dog absolutely have to be a female?

No it can be a male if he’s good with other male dogs. We have a male Bernese Mtn Dog. He’d have to. E neutered, of course.
I know a breeder who is on the board of the JRT club of America. Her name is Dr. Liz Valles, DVM. The last hospital she worked at that I know of was Hill St animal hospital in York, Pa.

Thanks for the lead. I think I will contact the JRT club. I’ve looked at the rescue websites.
