Looking for this bay gelding who was last entered in a race in Calgary several years ago. The owner/trainer was Lane Gardipy whose family is in horses in Saskatchewan. Also, Lion Express was previously raced in Saskatchewan so he could be in either place, anywhere in between, or long gone. If anyone knows anything about this horse I would love to know where he ended up.
On the TB pedigree site I could see that he ran 18 times and earned $14,000. If you know how many times he had started, then maybe you can figure out how much more he raced
Thanks. I followed his career on Equibase and he was pulled from his last entered race, I think it was at Lethbridge. He was entered in a QH race but then scratched and records of entries are not kept for that far back, just results. This was shortly after his last finish at that same track on June 27, 2008. He’s probably toast, a low-priced claimer and gelding to boot, but I thought I would post this just in case. His racing days were so long ago; I hoped someone might have made him into a pleasure horse or show horse.
