Looking for Newmarket boots - reasonably priced....

Im looking for some newmarket boots as they should be cooler in the summer months. (I get heat blisters on my feet in the heat…) ugh

However all the newmarket boots I am finding on line are in the $1000.00 plus range.

My idea is that they should be in the “reasonably priced” range as I will only use them for riding in the summer months. And the rest of the year, they will be in the closet.

Yes I know I could wear paddock boots and light weight half chaps…but I really like the “classic” look of the newmarket boots.

Any ideas out there? My search so far is yielding boots in the one thousand $$ range and that just doesn’t make sense for summer boots…

I don’t think Newmarket boots will stand up to being ridden in. The Dehners website even says so; they recommend their Newmarket boot for “ground schooling and teaching.”

If it’s your feet that suffer from the heat the Newmarket style might not help.

Sure, with canvas shafts your legs will be a tad cooler, but the foot part is still leather.

{rolling eyes} Dewey: What a shame the modern NMs are apparently “for show”.
When I was a kid (around the time they invented the Wheel) this style was worn as a Summer fashion & held up to lots of riding.
No horseperson would have stood for - or purchased - a boot for looks only! :no:

Mountain Horse Serengeti boots. I love mine and wear them ALL THE TIME (except for dressage…the ankles are too flexible for my longer dressage position and let me do bad things with my heels :-P) Riding and out with skinny jeans…I’ve gotten so many compliments on them by riders and random people alike.
