Looking for reflective harness for deep-chested dog

I did not have any idea how hard this was going to be to find. :stuck_out_tongue:

Dog is a lab/terrier mix, about 45 lbs. Base of neck measures 20 inches, middle is 17 and top of neck is 15. Across chest is 17 inches. Girth is 27.5 inches. If the harness fits his neck/chest, the girth is too short. If the girth fits, I usually cannot adjust the neck/chest down enough to get it to fit well.

I’d love to get the ComfortFlex harness—the M fits his girth but is too big across the chest. The S/M fits chest perfectly, but the girth straps don’t meet.

I’ve got someone looking into the Hurtta line, but meanwhile, is there anything else out there that’s reflective and adjustable enough to properly fit a deep-chested dog? I’ll consider a vest/jacket thing as well but would prefer a harness—that’s useful when we go hiking as well.

It has to be reflective because this dog is my running partner, he’s black, and soon we’ll be running after work in the dark. We have people who go through our neighborhood at about 40 mph, and this is a subdivision with one entrance. The blinky light on his collar isn’t enough. We both need to look like freaking Christmas trees. :sigh:

Just a suggestion… I have seen reflective pieces to put on a horse’s bridle/halter. Maybe concentrate on just finding a harness that fits and buy the pieces and put on.

This one looks to be super adjustable, and your dog falls solidly into the ā€œmediumā€ size range:

lights that fit on over any strapped goods.

Thanks for the suggestions … Simkie, I’m trying one more thing, but if that doesn’t work out I will probably order the one you linked to. Bonus that it comes in red—all this dog’s stuff is red so that DH knows it belongs to him. Other dog’s stuff is green.
