Looking for specific sliding door stay roller

I’m looking to replace stay rollers with the same product, and I’m having just a hell of a time finding these. It’s so hard to find real, actual BARN barn door hardware with the popularity of barn doors in interior decorating :-/

No markings that I can see. Anyone up for a Google shopping challenge?

look at the door track to see in there is a manufacturer’s marl stamped in to the metal

This bottom guide almost appears to be site made from angle iron

The tracks are stamped Lawrence, which is not something that gets me anywhere with Google.

These do have an illegible bar code sticker, so not made on site.

Some other hardware is National, but National doesn’t carry this style of stay roller.

No experience with this company, just find this more interesting than work right now.

Reversible and Adjustable Stay Roller for Sliding Door - Richelieu Hardware

It looks like wholesale but perhaps gives you something more to search on? idk. hope it helps.

edit to add: here’s one from grainger you can buy individually. it’s not quite the width but length and height are same.

Sliding Door, Steel, Door Guide - 4PE67|4PE67 - Grainger

Tractor supply has similar ones, but they are adjustable:

National Hardware Heavy Stay Roller, Galvanized at Tractor Supply Co.

there once were three primary sources for medium duty barn door hardware… Lawrence, National and Stanley …all most likely would have had stamped the bracket with their ID…but that bracket does not really appear to have been made using a die press

Ugh, so Lawrence isn’t producing this stuff anymore? Definitely no name or brand visible on the piece itself, although this one is pretty rusty. I haven’t pulled the others yet.

I really wanted to replace with like to avoid drilling new holes. I guess I could have them fabricated. The rolly part itself seems easy enough to purchase.

Thanks all for your sleuthing! @usernameTaken that first one especially is sooooo close, really great find!

Can you just clean up and paint the ones you’re taking off?

Wait…is this…?

(The “small” one, not the National one.)

I thought I’d Google one more time and this popped up. :open_mouth:

@Christa_P I did think about that but no, some of them are bent or otherwise just beat up. They’re 20+ years old, it’s just time for new.

Unfortunately no measurements on website.

Yes, thanks, I found them from the cashmans image. Already emailed :+1:
