looking for the previous owner of a horse brought to the Strain Family Farm in Granby

Hi - I purchased a beautiful mare from someone who had bought her from the Va Hunter Sports Auction and sold by Bill Strain. I am trying to find the owner who sent her there. I called the Strains and they said they do not keep any paperwork on their horses. She was sold as a warmblood cross. She is bay, 16-1 with a triangular shaped white mark on her left front coronet band. When she was sold at auction she was very light - she is now a beautiful mahogany bay - She has amazing gaits - big floaty trot. I think she is a trakehner - she does have the personality of one - very smart, needs a very experienced rider, looks exactly like a Trakehner. Someone did some very solid groundwork and w-t-c work to train her - but I am thinking someone may have gotten frustrated with her. She definitely has alot of tricks up her sleeve. I am thinking it is someone in CT, NY or Massachusetts. She was sold in 2009 at the auction - is supposed to have been foaled in 2001.

Here is a video of my mare listed in the above post on youtube. This girl bought her from the person who bought her from the sporthorse auction. This is the closest she would have looked when she was sold at auction, although this is her winter coat. I believe she had just bought her a few months before this picture. She has since then gained about 200 pounds with more of a reddish undercoat. I found out she was sold in 2008 at the auction, not 2009. This video is from the fall of 2009.
