Looking for used saddle shopping ideas

I’ve been half leasing the same horse for a few years now and (knock on wood) think it will likely continue for a while. We event, little short baby things, and I use the owner’s tack. Her jump saddle is great, but me and her dressage saddle don’t get along. After riding in a another friend’s different dressage saddle, which felt great, I’m toying with looking for a lowish priced used saddle.

The horse owner has a Bruno Delgrange, which has an almost V-shaped seat (side view). I have to check but think it’s a medium tree, which is kind of surprise since the horse overall is very wide.
My other friend has a Devoucoux, not sure which model. But I think it had a much flatter middle section of the seat, and I think that’s the biggest difference for me.

What should I look out for that might fit the horse like the saddle he has but have that flatter seat for me? I’d try anything I find on him with a fitter and his owner’s approval, just trying to narrow down what I might be looking for.

I’d do a pre appointment with the fitter you plan on using and get brand and tree recommendations from them. They may be able to do tracings as well

The Prestige Passion has a more open seat.

Albions are available used for low prices. They usually have a nice place to sit and have a fairly general fit for the horse.

Specifically, the Albion SL (not to be confused with the SLK) has an open seat. If you need more wither clearance, look for one stamped HH (high head) or TB.
