He was 28. There is a very nice tribute to him on Facebook and lots of nice pictures. And Violet looks just like him!

I feel extra fortunate to have our beloved Violet now. I believe she is part of his last crop as frozen was not available last year. It’s funny how our filly looks exactly like him at times and exactly like her dam at times.

I think she looks a lot more like her sire in the face than her dam, and not just from the coloring. The whole shape of her muzzle/nostrils and eye is her sire.

i am going to try and find the Facebook link. When you see his face you will think she looks more like him than her mother in the face.

Aww how sad, Sir Wannabe just died too 
I just bred a mare to Sir Wanibi last week and I’m praying for a black dot next week. I’ve always loved him and I’m super excited about this cross. He’s been on my radar for years and I finally got all of my stars aligned to hopefully get a nice foal by him. My fingers and toes are crossed!!

Best of luck with you Sir Wanabi. He was a lovely stallion. I was jump judging when I got the news and couldn’t help but tear up out on the course because I knew exactly how heartbroken they were.
