I just read an article about Belmont on the New York Times (NYT) written by Joe Drape. It was published in June but I haven’t seen it referred to on the forum although I did a search. The NYT does have a paywall but I thought I would post it anyway.

I watched the Belmont with no spectators. It was eerie.

It’s so sad that Martin Zapata, Tom Morely’s foreman, died with no friend or relative there to comfort him.

I’m happy that the PPP helped to keep at least some trainers afloat financially.
