Lovestruck aka Violet Joy

ADORE my BC baby. Ten jump and fine mover, not a hack winner but definitely not dressage mover. The easiest best baby for an ammie to bring along, right from his first rounds at the horse show. He also will not produce a chestnut which is what you want I think? I am breeding back to him this year.
I think you would be very happy with Checkmate on an R line mare. I have two checkmates out of a Rubinus daughter and both are super.

What about Shine? Is he still available?

Not sure. He is handsome, thank you!

He’s local’ish to me and still breeding! https://oldeoaksfarm.com/

I’m going to suggest you add Nob Hill to your list

He’s getting up there in years so didn’t realize he was still breeding.

Check out Farscape. I bred my beautiful (but can be spicy) mare to him and got a quiet, quiet baby, with all her dam’s suspension and movement and Farscape’s chrome.

Whoa. He looks perfect, anyone else care to weigh in about this guy?

He has been gelded and was a WFFS carrier, if that matters to you. There is frozen.

I saw the carrier part and that he was only frozen but didn’t know why. Thanks for that info.

Old thread about him.

My daughter and I were able to ride a lovely Cabardino gelding down here in Wellington. He may have sealed the deal for us but we are still keeping an open mind.

Oh you know I was doing some searching and has anyone mentioned Sir Wanabi? Lovely and I hear they have excellent minds. I’m. It sure they get more handsome.

glad you liked the Cabardino. He was on the short list for my mare. His offspring are always ones I note when I see them for sale.

I have never been impressed with Sir Wanabi himself. He shows around here with an ammy from time to time and I do like his brain. But his jump is lacking, as is the IT factor, to me. IMHO he is more impressive on the internet than he is in the flesh, and I want to meet a stallion in person and say WOW.

His local babies win a lot on the line, as do the Cabardino and Westporte offspring.

This particular Cabardino that we are with down here is a bit too big for me. I am sure I would get used to him but he was just a very big boy with gaits that weren’t big but were long if that makes any sense. I actually liked that since the biggest criticism of Cabardino that I have heard is he can throw small. I think this horse shrunk down a tiny bit would be ideal for me.

For any stallion who makes top contention, find as many offspring as you can where you can also see the mare. The more similar the offspring are out of a large enough types of mares, the better idea you have of what you’d likely get.
