Exactly, the flyover makes you appreciate the widths of the tables, so good idea that! Yet itās all standard measurement and mostly very straight forward. Do not want to jinx it of courseā¦, but I think it will ride very well. A few runouts at some of the corners, and barring any horrible rider mistakes, that course is as safe as any four star can be. Iām touching wood writing this, of course.

What worries me about this course are all the huge tables. Unless Iām wrong, tables are an invitation to rotational falls, far more than other types of fence. They are also not frangible. From what I recall from the video, there are very few frangible fences on this course.[/QUOTE]
There is technology to make tables collapsible. They have had them on course at Plantation. I would not say tables alone area threat for rotational falls (there have been ones at them but not a often as a there types of fences). They are a test of scopeā¦and very much a chance for a fall or stop. Horses can bank them at times too. Vertical fences and hanging logs (especially into water or with something on the back side that causes a horse lose focus) I believe are fences that have a higher chance of a rotation.
I was thinking of Laine Ashkerās rotational with Frodo when I posted. But youāre probably right.

That wasnāt a tableā¦wasnāt that the basket jump (jumping through the handle of the basket)ā¦not really wide but I did have a pretty vertical face. Amanda fell at a large table.
okā¦Iām old and have been around to long to know that off the top of my head.
BUT many riders (myself included)ā¦donāt love big wide tables unless we are on scopey jumper!
I didnāt get to the show grounds todayā¦took the early train to Dresden, got a rental car, and thanks to a faulty GPS, took a six hour side trip to Poland!
Finally got to my hotel, so Iāll be there bright and early for cross country, assuming I donāt end up in Norway.

I remember that vividly as well. There was also a considerable speed issue with that particular rotational fall (which was discussed at length at the time).

Oh my. Nothing like getting lost! Hope it was at least a pretty drive!

Yep.
So so happy My nephew finished the cross country with a clear round
!!!
he is now in 8th place
Lots and lots of double clears XC. Once again Loughlan Glen didnāt make through a 4* XC. Canāt exactly tell, but it looks as if a fall were involved in his elimination.
Congratulations, Manni01 for your nephew.

According to Eventing Nationās live feed, he may have missed the flag on 28B. No fall involved. He finished 1 second over time before he was eliminated.

Clark Montgomeryās appeal went through so the took away his elimination! Heās now in 7th place with a 37.5.

There was a question about whether or not they made it through the flags on one of the later fences.
FEI broadcast it live, but there are no replays of cross-country up. I do not know if there will be replays available later.
Iāve got FEI-TV on monthly payment, and will be cancelling after Burghley if they continue to not have replays. Thatās the whole point, as far as Iām concerned ā¦
I could be wrong, but I thought FEI TV will not have replays anymore. I think I remember that from another thread. I got the year membership last year and I wonāt renew because of the no replays. Definetly a WTF on FEI TVās part.

Seriously. No replays = No renewal.
