Interesting that they only took 7 back from the second 50. I thought we saw stronger riding in the first group and it seems the judges might agree.
Yes!!!
Hensley Humphries had a nice round. Her horse Imaginator is huge in person - has got to be close to 18 hands. His stride just looked normal in context of this course. Did anyone catch the measurement of the one stride?
He passed away earlier this year
Does anyone know if this is Grace Debney’s last junior year?
Oh we can’t forget Mimi. She also was great! I think I prefer Mimi’s equitation over Augusta’s. Both beautiful, just a personal preference.
I believe it is - she turned 17 this year.
If she turned 17 this year, then she has 1 more year.
She has one more year.
Thanks.
Props to the girl who just got that gray horse around the course much better than expected after his entrance!
I don’t think I can overstate how much I adore Ava as a commentator. She adds so much to the viewing experience and is so positive without being hollow or patronizing. You can feel how much she’s soaked up from her mom and the North Run team and I love getting that thirdhand as a viewer. I hope she ditches the medical degree and goes pro so she can be my trainer
Agreed. She should be very proud of that trip.
Is the stand by done in any particular order?
Typically it’s in order of preference (highest score to lowest).
Thank you!
Tough break for Annaliese Manoog. The bobble on the way to the last fence didn’t look too bad to me, but the commentary seemed to think it knocked her out of the running.
I thought she jumped the oxer/oxer one stride as well as anyone I’ve seen.
When that “cute” little white-grey horse was jumping the pink jump, it was sooo Barbie! (Not the rider’s equitation, of course, which was quite lovely throughout the round.)
I only caught part of it. Did her horse spook or did she just get lost and get too close to that jump?
