I’m gonna need a standby here in a minute. Since I spend every year complaining about the camera coverage during the flat phases I decided that this year I am not going to watch it but instead take that time to go for a run. If we wait much longer I’m going to run out of this lovely daylight savings time sunshine…
Betsee Parker leased him for her next protégé, I thinkOlivia Sweetnam? But he coliced badly several times and had to be put down. They tried their best to save him. My daughter says he was a chronic colicer but I think he didn’t want to do it without Ellie. She had had him since she was 12.
The whole jump crew does a great job, but I would say the guy who was carrying the green wall on his back at a trot should probably get a bonus.
I stepped away to go for a run and muck - did they already do the flat phase? I thought that came before the second round.
They’re just starting the flat now. Never heard what the standby was.

Zayna’s on top that’s all I got because this forum software is being rude
Forget it. Edited to remove my attempt. Way to go @Amy3996, your fast fingers saved the day!
Off to go run. Let’s see if I can time two flats and a course walk accurately in terms of miles.
Anyway, go Zayna.
well between the two of us typing frantically hopefully that helped somebody
Amy’s more on top of it than both of us combined lol
I appreciate the vote of confidence but I can’t take credit! The lovely reporters doing the COTH Commentary had the list up, I just copied and pasted.
Being smarter about how you went about it is still being more on top of it than either of us, as far as I’m concerned
Is it just me, or do the plants by the ASPCA wall look like something out of a Dr. Seuss book?
I find the flat phase interesting but I can’t tell how individual riders are doing.
I have never heard Ava as a commentator but she is AMAZING: knows what she is talking about, makes excellent cogent comments, doesn’t babble on, and is always positive and encouraging. I am soooo grateful to her and hope she continues to do this!
How does the warmup work for the flat? It didn’t seem like there was time for anyone on the bubble for the last standby to have tacked and warmed up before the flat…
They had a few minutes while the course was being adjusted. And anyone on the bubble should have been standing by and ready. Plus I would think the flat list was announced pretty promptly after the last trip in the first round.
