It’s hard to tell from a distance but I think that may have been Luke that swapped off the counter lead…
Was that Luke Jensen who had trouble getting to the counter canter??
I think so. Fairly sure he struggled in this direction too and was late getting it behind.
Very unfortunate after he had such a great first round.
Do all who flatted also come back for the second round?
Final Round
A minimum of twenty four (24) riders will be asked to return for a final round over a second course following the above stated specifications. The second round course may include tests.
Testing
Testing of up to six riders is optional using USEF Tests 1-16.
here’s the order of go for round 2 after the flat:
Flat shifted things around quite a bit.
It did. The lead change was difficult for a few riders.
In theory, it’s supposed to count 50%.
For some reason my idea of a working walk is different from what most (not all) of these good riders do.
Wait, they’re not gonna drag?
That round should move Amira up quite a bit, I’d imagine. Probably not enough for a ribbon unless there’s some major disasters, though.
Tessa Downey just came in and laid down quite a nice, bold trip.
Luke is looking a bit harried to me.
I thought Luke looked aggressive. I liked those inside turns, but not the strides from 1 to 2.
Christian hurried a bit to the white oxer but I thought the round otherwise was quite nice.
Addison’s horse didn’t do much to help cover that deep distance at the hedges in and out. Unfortunate.
I think the commentary on the similarities between the two courses is quite interesting. I would’ve liked to see them ask some different questions.
ahhhh I was counting on a drag!
