I mentioned after his first round that I was impressed with the work he has done on his position in the last 6 months or so, so I can only imagine that with a couple of months in Florida, he’ll come out loaded for bear in the spring.
I’m almost at the point of muting them.
no more ava it sounds like
Like I’m so glad Dominic is going pro - our sport will be better for it. But can we focus on the riders in the ring today, please?
Dominic, the youngest panelist on the commentary, has consistently been the one bringing it back to the person actually in the ring. Good for him.
Attagirl Mimi!
By the way, @supershorty628, the forum software says that I need to stop talking to you and “include others in the discussion” since I keep responding to your posts. So everybody else, I’m sorry for being exclusionary. You can sit with us at lunch.
I wish they would discuss the round. I enjoy learning.
It seems vaguely rude of them to be talking over the trip.
Hm, I had a different interpretation of the pace to the last fence than the commentators.
Ignore it. I can’t type quickly and I enjoy your and Supershorty’s opinions.
A few too many dramatic changes of stride/pace in Avery’s trip for my preference- I appreciate that she’s not looking to take prisoners, but would have liked to see those executed more smoothly. What does everyone but @supershorty628 think about that, since I’m not allowed to talk to her anymore?
WELL NOT THAT YOU ASKED but I thought there were other rounds that were smoother and I thought her decision to do 8 to the last fence was executed late. It didn’t look to me like a “nice hand gallop” like the commentators thought. I thought it looked like she got to stride 3 and realized she needed to boogy if she was going to do 8.
That is exactly what it looked like. Each change in rhythm came a step or two after landing, not on landing, so they looked like “aw snap” rather than “this is my plan.”
I just love Imaginator. Talk about a good match of horse and rider.
I liked Hensley’s round other than the lead change in the 5 strides. I would have preferred to see her hold the lead she landed on.
Bummer about the swap for Augusta.
Quimby is perfect and I love him.
They do make such a nice picture. He’s a huge horse but she fits him well.
You jinxed them
Ummmmm
DON’T JINX QUIMBY.
I was thinking he looks tired.
WHAT??? No Quimby!!
