Maclay Finals On Demand??

Forgive me if this has already been discussed in the other thread, I’ve been avoiding reading it as to not spoil anything!

Where can I watch the Maclay final on demand? I’ve struck out with: USEF Network, NHS website (live stream only), and ShowNet seems to only have individual rounds. Help!

I believe you have to subscribe to EqSports to watch it on demand. I would be very happy if someone told me otherwise.

I am a subscriber, and unfortunately the only thing that pops up for the NHS is the live stream. I don’t see anything available on demand. I’m stumped!

As the OP points out, ShowNet has some of the rides in its FreeView section but they are indexed by rider. It would be nice to see the whole second round all in one place. EQSports is not posting anything about that on its Facebook page, and normally they have some info. Link here to the ShowNet site: https://shownet.biz/Freeview

I saw Ava’s second round ride, but have not yet browsed around to see what else is there. “Free” is the perfect price range for me.

The only way I’m able to see the (11-hour-long) video of the entirety of the class is to click on the picture advertising the live feed for the national horse show, not by clicking on the red banner advertising the live feed. The picture link rotates with some links from Harrisburg, etc, so you may have to wait for it to appear on the screen.

ETA: I’m a silver subscriber. I haven’t been able to find any way to watch the class without a subscription.

The 2nd Rounds are all there. You have to search by date. First hit live scoring icon and then go to date of 11/3…

Has anybody had luck finding the Maclay on demand for 2019 recently? I have tried searching the EQSports site and have upgraded to gold thinking maybe that would help, but I can’t find the show! I watched parts of it there the weekend of the show (after it had ended), but that seems to have disappeared? I have contacted EQSports, but not response yet. I have searched “November 3” “Maclay” “stearns” and I did a search for the date range from Oct 31 to Nov 5 hoping maybe I’d get it with an overall search, etc and the only thing that I can find is the 2018 full stream. Maybe I’m looking on the wrong site?

ETA - they just got back to me and said that they don’t have it. Was there anywhere else you can find the actual full program from start to finish? I only made it through a couple hours and would love to finish it now that I have wifi again

That would really be nice to have the whole thing in entirety. Watching the entire competition from start to finish is such an interesting process. How does the first rider ride the course? How do the rides change as the competition goes along? How do the kids ride on the flat to move up? How do the riders in contention adjust their rides as they get into the final phase? ( Last year’s winner’s commentary was an insight in this regard.) The commentary all along the way was so educational and would be such a great resource for aspiring riders–like a Great Course type thing. If I were a trainer, I would love a resource like this and would encourage my students to view it throughout the year.

Were they the ones who did the live stream? I would be pretty darn mad if I paid the membership fee to watch stuff on demand, and then they don’t have it available.

I was looking for the same thing. Nowhere on EqSports. I was upset as I renewed for this month just to be able to rewatch leisurely as time allowed like Penn National. So I cancelled.

Yes. They had the live stream. They refunded me because I only paid to watch Maclay… @fourfillies if you did the same I’d contact them. I did so via Facebook and they were very helpful. They have previous years so not sure what happened this year, they didn’t explain anything. Maybe they didn’t have full rights or something? Seems weird.

I too reached out to EqSports, MARS, and the National. I was either ignored or told to search on ShowNet. ShowNet was also not helpful when I became a member but then was prompted to pay for each round. ShowNet became unresponsive but I may reach back out to get a refund.
The National (via fb messenger) told me to reach out to them again if I ran into problems after using ShowNet, which I did, but they also didn’t respond…though read the message.

So disappointing and frustrating that you can’t watch it in its entirety!

Hopefully they can let USEF Network take back the streaming rights. I like how they do their finals and breaking things down into round 1 part 1, part 2, etc … easy to go back and watch if you weren’t lucky enough to catch it in the first place. You’d think offering the whole thing and earning money off of it via subscriptions - which it is apparent many of us were willing to pay for - (which USEF does not, but still has the videos for free) would be a positive for those who covered the show.
