Thanks for Zone 2 results! Anyone know the results from the central regionals tonight as well? Saw that the top 3 were Hunter Holloway, Caroline McLeese and Taylor Sutton. Are the full results posted somewhere?
Can someone explain why the Maclay specs say that after June 1 if a rider has 60 points and continues to get points, they are ineligible to ride in the Finals? I notice that several riders have hundreds of points, so what is the deal? Thanks and I know this is off post but I figure this is the place where the folks who know about these things will be looking.

You can accumulate as many points as you’d like until June 1st, but after that, if you have 60 or more points, you can’t show in it anymore. This allows Tori/Lillie/other freakishly good people to do the Maclay at Devon without having to worry about reaching the max too early (ie - they can do it at WEF). In other words, those hundreds of points were all accumulated before June 1st.
That rule is new this year, in previous years you had to stop showing once you reached 60 regardless of the date.

Thirty five riders. Six stops. One circle. Fair number of rails. No eliminations. There were some interesting elements to the course. Long three to a tight three with the middle element a skinny wall. Bending line to a long five to end. Tight turns. IMHO the course did a good job of separating people without major carnage. Some unexpected people had problems.
Brought back 27 in three groups to hack. Lengthening at the trot, hand gallop and shoulder-in and haunches-in. Can they ask for the last two since they aren’t tests 1-19?
Flat work off. Top six. Demonstrate two lead changes on a straight line, one simple and one flying, trot through the end if the ring and down center line, canter figure-8, halt, back, turn on haunches, back to line up. Some interesting interpretations and people reversing the back and the figure 8.

Yeah, she won close to 50K last weekend and won money in both the HITS $500,000 Hunter Prix ( top 4) and the 1Million Grand Prix. I would agree that is quite a week! And she rides beautifully.

Her round was just heads above the rest. She is a lovely rider and a lovely young lady!
So now what? There’s a national finals? Which of the top riders get to go to that? When is it?
(I’m not really in this world but I know one of the kids from my old barn.)
Anyone know if Region 4 will livestream from KY? That would be fun to watch…

Yes There is a national final at the National Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park which runs from Oct 29- Sept 3rd. They will take a certain number of the top riders from each region. It is usually quite a large class.
