If the tradition of the last twenty of so years had played out, I’d be watching Maclay Regionals (region 8) tonight in the covered ring at The Oaks, probably after enjoying a nice dinner with friends. But, alas, this is the year of Covid when so many traditions have been taken from us. Considering the toll that the pandemic has taken on the world, missing Maclay regionals is very much a first-world problem, but its sad nonetheless.
The Oaks-Blenheim management team has come to the rescue with live streaming in all the rings and on-demand videos of individual rounds (and maybe entire classes–I haven’t tried that yet). In yet another break from tradition, the regionals are Sunday morning at 9:30 instead of Saturday night.

They have been quite fast getting the archived rounds up. Some people have reported issues with the life streaming. I watched the Foxfield Finals today and it was mostly glitch free, but that was on the Grand Prix field where the streaming seems more robust. The Maclay, in yet another break with tradition, is in Sand Hunter Ring 1
