Macrider saddle adjustments?

Hi, questions for those who have/know about macrider saddles…

supposedly they have trees that are very adjustable. But I’ve been told that it’s through a special machine? I don’t know if this is true or not…

I’m thinking of purchasing one that a friend has, but it would need to be widened to fit my horse. I’ve reached out to Macrider to find a rep/fitter in the area (the website indicated there was one in my area), but the customer support was really useless and said they were based in wellington and didn’t know of anyone else (what??).

Anyway, curious if these are saddles that can be adjusted by most fitters or if they really do require a special machine and/or a specialized fitter?

From what I recently heard. It depends on the year they were manufactured’.

Contact Henriette Biekmann (company owner) through FB. She’s very nice and responsive. At the KHP for dressage finals now. You may also want to watch how the saddles are made: check out the video in the About Macrider section of their website.

Since I too was looking at MacRiders, I had your same question and a fitter told me if they were made in 2015 or before they must be sent back to the factory for tree adjustments’. The older ones had to be heated’. Newer models any fitter can adjust as long as they have the tree tool, which alll fitters have’. I just bought a used one sight unseen, so hopefully, it fits or only needs a slight adjustment’
