It looks like my 10 yo horse is PPID (waiting for confirmation). And I am wanting to put him on Mad Barn AminoTrace+. If I put him on that, then my only Smartpak would be the Elevate Maintenance Powder (2,000 iu). He does get the elevate liquid (the one you get from the vet) as well with 3,000iu. So total he gets 5,000 iu a day, and he’s finally in the normal range so I really don’t wanna futz with that. BUT, I was thinking if I could just switch to Mad Barn for everything I could premix all his supplements and make it easier on the barn staff. Just wondering if anyone has any science and or anecdotal evidence that the Mad Barn Vit E powder is comparable to the Elevate Maintenance.
I am NOT replacing the liquid, it will stay, yes I know it’s the most bioavailable, but I really don’t want to pay for 5,000 iu a day of that when this seems to be working.
