I made an insulated muck bucket for my horse to use while he is outside. While it is working, I would like to make some kind of insulated cover to put on top of it overnight. It needs to be something heavy enough that it won’t blow away. Any ideas???
Wow, how did you train your horse to poop directly into the muck bucket??
I’m assuming it’s for water, and you can make a top by attaching a thick styrofoam insulation to a piece of plywood to give it enough weight to keep it from blowing away.
Just cut a 2" styrofoam insulation panel to cover, and put two short bungee cords across the bucket in an X pattern. Could punch holes in the top rim of the bucket to give the cords attachment points.

This is what we did for our heated muck bucket style water trough. Worked great. We included a handle for easy removal.
