Absolutely 100% to wide, BUT she liked the angles on him, and we can thick pad, but need a cut away to give him clearance.
Is it ideal? Absolutely not, can we keep him comfortable until he has done some work, and re assess, yes we believe we can.
If you are going to get a pad to adjust for a wide front, may I suggest looking at SPHgear.com? I had a 5 star with my too-wide saddle, and a CSI, but it was the SPH that sealed the deal. Tremendous wither relief, very easy to adjust, and the leg cutouts were unexpected benefit. They have a 30 day trial period, and there is a FB “Riders who like SPH” page if you want to buy used. The mfg has a tough time keeping all orders in stock, so the resell is pretty high. Shipping is very fast.
