Mallard Springs Farm- SC .. any experience?

Anyone want a laugh? Go to Greenville SC CL, type in my name Jessica Santiago… in farm section. He has a nice little post about me. If anyone could copy it for my use, unfortunately I cant print off from my smartphone.

I am not going to respond… considering I don’t have sale horses, don’t do business in this town, and don’t know what that horse is. But anyone who could copy and save this ad for me would be great so I can take it to the local PD. Thanks.

JESSICA SANTIAGO - ANDERSON, SC. HORSE ABUSE / SCAM ALERT!!

I purchased a horse from Jessica Santiago in Anderson, SC a few weeks ago, on the basis that I would be refunded if the horse didn’t work out. Ms. Santiago promised to refund my money if for any reason I was not satisfied. I purchased the horse sight-unseen, and I was told that the horse was in good condition. When the horse finally arrived, it was 300 lbs under weight, was rittled with worms, and covered in rain-rot. The horse was scared of people, and to this day, does not like to be handled. Jessica promised that she would refund my money if I wasn’t satisfied. When I called to request a refund, she refused to give my money back.

The horse is in good hands now, and will taken care of. I am just glad that we were able to save this horse from Ms. Santiago. He wouldn’t have lasted much longer under her “care.” Jessica Santiago is a liar, and she mistreats her animals. She must be stopped before a horse dies due to terrible neglect. We are presently seeking legal action against her, and we have reported her to the humane society. I hope this report will make people aware of what type of “horse trainer” Jessica Santiago is. If ANYONE ELSE has a story involving Jessica Santiago of Anderson, SC please contact me. I would love to discuss a joint lawsuit for Animal neglect. A photo of the neglected horse is attached.

Ok…someone help me out - is the same guy who is screaming libel, slander and sending nasty e-mails? What an arrogant idiot!

holy libel batman!

That is so…wow. I don’t even know what to say. If this guy would put as much time and effort into a legal and straight-up business, he’d probably do pretty well. Too bad for the horses that he won’t change his spots.

Clearly someone needs to head to MSF and dump some happy pills down the well! The guy needs some serious mood stabilization. And spelling and grammar lessons, but I hear those pills are hard to come by!

This is SO bizarre. I sincerely hope that law enforcement is onto this guy.

That’s horrible! Maybe if he spent half the time he spends ruining other people’s lives into fixing his own mess of a life, he would have less haters!

It is sad.

I love my Sheriffs department though. Not only do they know the true definition of libel and harassment but they were also generally concerned for the welfare of the horse pictured. Sadly not in their jurisdiction.

Clearly I have nothing to prove to this man. My clients are aware of the siltation as well as I have documented photos of every horse I have rescued, bought, and sold including REAL vet reports of every one. And copies of contracts that I will take any one of them back no questions asked.

Obviously I can no longer participate on this thread until the matter is resolved. I hope all the horses posted about on this thread and in the future will all find loving caring homes.

A little joy through all this madness, the rescue I had posted in Off Course last September, Knox, is showing with this new little girl this weekend up north and I am taking a road trip up there to wish them luck. If anyone would like to see how this boy looks now feel free to PM me  oh… and wish them some luck for us too!

Ok. I took photos of cascade, and his legs the day before he left… Give me one sec to upload the pics of cascade that we took of him the day before he left. Give me one moment.
It took you long enough to upload pictures of the horse who’s "leg"s aren’t an issue. The chestnut is the issue…he has since foundered after being in your care! “Legs” have no association with this problem, you might wanna Photoshop a picture of his FEET!
What an idiot! Seriously.
I wouldn’t buy horses from you EVER! Even if there was a FIRE! (altered Step Brothers quote)
But really, I pray for the animal’s that are in your care. You seem to be one sick individual and you just add to the lost faith in this industry.

Luna:

After all the things said about me, and my farm over the last week, I am not surprized that this police report isn’t enough. To be honest, I expected no less. I did not get on here, to do anything other than to provide proof of the findings of the police. I used to do horses because they are fun, and because I loved horses more than anything. Due to constant unproven gossip,my love for horses is no more. SO, CONSIDER YOURSELVES WINNERS! ALL OF Y’ALL WIN! I QUIT! I’m out of the horse business forever. You all have made my experiece so terrible, that I have lost all ALL of my passion for these amazing animals. It’s sad when so much unpleasentness can cause someone to lose the passion of their lives. I don’t care to be in this business anymore. SO, y’all win. I’m out of this business. It’s not worth the lies, gossip, and constant unpleasantness. ALL of YALL can HAVE IT. Just be careful who you attack. You need to know the FACTS before you attempt to distroy someone. Keep your eyes open at all times. This same thing can happen to any of you. I hope that all of you are happy. I hold NO bitterness to any of you. I’m just ready to move on, and never think of a horse again. I hope that the Lord Blesses you all. I ask now, that I please be left alone. I have nothing else to say regarding this matter. May God Bless You ALL!
So what’s gonna happen to your horses? Are we gonna hear about you on the news as a neglect case with dead horses all over your yard? I can bet it’s possible!

So if buying/receiving two misrepresented horses wasn’t enough… We unfortunately cannot post too much information on here until all is said and done but if anyone is interested in keeping up with the progress of our two boys feel free to check out our flickr account under TheHarrier. You’ll be able to deduce what has occurred

See you all in two months!

Look forward to a complete update then. (Because I can not figure out the flickr thing.)

I will put my take on it gently…

I only see the grey in the “one month later” photos…as in the chestnut is missing.

do the math. :frowning:

I’m not good at math.
What are you trying to say?

ETA: Did the math…slowly but surely. If you are insinuating that the chestnut has passed away, you are wrong.

That’s great news! I also assumed that maybe there was nothing left to do in order to keep the poor chestnut comfortable, poor guy:(

Both are in super hands and I’m sure with the love they are getting are well on their way to feeling much better!

Wow, just read through this thread…craziness!! TheHarrier, THANK YOU for taking these horses in and giving them the loving, caring home they deserve; I’m sure they’re thrilled to be out of Horsie Hell and living in Horsie Paradise. Your farm is gorgeous!

As for the [person] who let the horses get into such terrible shape – I sincerely hope that he gets back exactly what he’s given out, both in this life and the next.
