Man o' War Film

Someone is going to be making a film (with historical accuracy promised) about Man o’ War. High time, I think. He’d love to hear from anybody with Man o’ War-related memories, memorabilia, trivia, etc. He already said he’s contacted Dorothy Ours, who wrote the fabulous recent book.

his death at 30 shocked the nation,

The news shocked the nation. Man O’ War had died at age 30 after several heart attacks. A few days later he was buried at Faraway Farm. A huge crowd of 2,000 people showed up to say good bye to the champion. Millions more listened to the broadcast on radio. Tracks lowered their flags to half mast. Even soldiers fighting in the war took time to honor the great horse.
