I have a new 14.2 pony, and I need a carriage for him. I want a marathon that I can also do cones and dressage with. My last large horse carriage had the wedge driver’s seat with a passenger seat beside that could be moved when needed. My last carriage was a Kutzmann, but they do no offer this option for their pony model. Any ideas, anyone?
My husband likes to sit beside me for pleasure drives, and I can’t see him enjoying sitting on the back.

Yes, driving essentials glinkowski still does that option, Chris Carswell (para driver) just got one for exactly that reason
My Bird In Hand Red Hawk fit that bill for 5 years. It is nearly presentation carriage pretty, and was fine for the marathon - we competed at Prelim, including in Canada when Prelim had E gates.
You can have a passenger up front with you, and you can have people on the back with seats - we did a wedding in it!
Unfortunately, my pony died unexpectedly this fall, so it could also be for sale. PM for photos or other info.
We have a horse size Bird In Hand Red Hawk. We went with it for the same reason, we wanted a “family” carriage. We did our first driving trial last September with it as well. It was a bit rough in the grass rings and we rattled around, but even the true marathon carriages were bumping along. Down the road and on hard packed surfaces, it is great. I would love to get the pneumatic tires for it at some point.
