This is ridiculous, every freaking horse she rides BLEEDS! WTF? Why is no one addressing this? This sport is dying before our eyes if we are normalizing this.

This is the third time RF Scandalous has bled in competition.
IMO the ground jury should be ashamed of themselves. This mare has been let down by the people in place to protect her.

shocker. Really funny today when I was at a tack shop and they were streaming it live and they said, âThat is Marilyn Little,â and I said, âI wonder if there will be any blood.â

I donât have strong opinions on her either way (I sort of ânothing herâ) , but to me it just seems like she called over the official and made an issue of the bit lip BEFORE x country so sheâd have an excuse after. It worked, a ton of people on the COTH Facebook post are defending her.
I used to think people were salty about her because she could afford amazing horses and âbought her way to the topâ but I think itâs more that she has amazing horses and treats them like sh!t.

So despicable. Shame on her. She should be banned. There is no reason for her to continue when her horses always end up bloody.

Is the blood cue to her rough treatment or some medication sheâs giving?
If itâs treatment, is she using a type of bit that could pinch? If not, what would she be doing to cause bleeding?
I am in no way attempting to defend her, just understand why this keeps happening.

Could be ripped corner of the mouth, ripped gums, scar tissue that bleeds⊠a flash too tight thatâs causing issues in the mouth. Could be a lot of things, but seems like the only rider who you can count on to have a bloody mouth at the finish line.

I donât care too much about why her horsesâ mouths keep coming up bloody. I just think itâs time for the FEI to have some consistency with its blood rule across the disciplines. It doesnât seem like it would be in any way onerous or impact that many riders to say just like with spur rubs hey, that sucks, but youâre disqualified. Better luck next time. I donât think itâs intrinsic or necessary to the sport to allow for bleeding mouths on course.

Again, no defence. Iâve been reading about her & âissuesâ for some time, Iâm just curious as to what would cause the perpetually bleeding mouths she seems to encounter.

I could easily see it happening from a flash thatâs too tight and if yesterday is any indication then thatâs the norm for her. In my 25 years of riding (10+ on the H/J circuit) Iâve never had a horse bite their tongue and bleed. Seems to happen to ML at every event.

If you had a horse with a cut in its mouth isnât that the equivalent to having a really sharp bit as far as how much reaction youâre going to get with even a slight tug. You donât need a harsh bit to get a reaction if thereâs already a wound. And if you tell the officials about it ahead of time you dont have to worry about getting DQâd. Sounds like a great strategy. Please tell me thereâs no way someone would do that on purpose to their horse.

This I agree with. Covering her tracks so to speak. I mean, one has got to wonder, Why her horse seems to always bleed, ie bites her tongue, smacks her nose on a jump. I have been to many Rolex events, and several other big events, And seen the horses up close, I have never seen a bloody mouth.

It probably has something to do with her riding style and choice of equipment. Watch the âgentleâ half halt around 1:20.
Iâm not understanding what this buys her.
I understand what people think they get by rapping shins, or putting spikes in boots then rapping shins.
Why is ML causing her mareâs mouth to bleed? What does that achieve in the CC?

It seems more than one person in this situation is experiencingâŠâunfortunately coincidentalâ errors in judgment. Youâd think after seeing this once in person, a ground jury member looking out for the best interest of the horses would start to see a pattern instead of dismissing it as ânothingâ.

OK, this is just sad. Sad that it has gotten to this point of we should wonder if there will be blood from a certain rider. I mean, I now think the same thing, itâs just unfortunate that itâs gone this far.
I have ridden many horses, attended many events, and fence judged quite a bit during my time in America. Over the years this is the ONLY rider that continuously has horses (yes, horseS) produce blood from their mouths. If thatâs not sketchy, I donât know what is. The Ground Jury is a joke. I have lost so much respect for US Eventing and this rider.
