I say let her compete. Everybody in the world will be watching to see if there is even a tiny speck of blood. Huge embarrassment for the U.S. team, and if eliminated I’ll bet her team members will also be out for blood (hers). They can’t walk away or excuse any blood at all.
Unfortunately, if ML hadn’t been selected, then her attorneys would be suing anyone they could, and she would have been on the team anyway. I was excited that WEG will be here, but I’m not watching any of it.
Not defending anyone here, but just for the sake of clarification- at Kentucky, every single horse is checked coming out of the ring. They are escorted by a steward and the groom cannot touch the horse until it’s head and sides have been inspected. There is spotty bit check at many events, but Kentucky is not one of them.
Don’t worry, I don’t see it as defending, but deeply condemnatory that they were checked and deemed acceptable, just as I see checking a bloody mouth and saying all good!
I agree. I think the fact that they checked that noseband and were ok with it is way worse than her getting randomly skipped in the check.
Keep your friends close and the ground jury closer!
I can’t see it, it seems to be really small when you click it, anyway to make bigger?
Honestly, it’s hardly worth it. It’s just more of Packy fawning. So weird.
I’m not sure why it did that! I’ll try again
Packy sure has [it] for ML.
I feel like that is a HUGE conflict of interest.
Does anyone know if he judged at those events as well?
She has to have a few people in her corner, whether they are paid or not
Yeah, corner of her bed apparently.
It allllllllllll makes sense now.
Nah, they’re cousins? Or he’s an uncle? I can’t remember, it’s been a few years since I was at the barn with the old hag who grew up with Packy and trained with his mom. Possibly I’m repressing memories of that time
They are cousins…but thats not who I was talking about
Both Packy and Christian bat for the other team, so I don’t think that’s a motivation for either of them.
Christian was available to work with all of the US team members that wanted lessons at Bromont to help them fine tune their tests from a judges eye. It was also open to watch for anyone that was around, so those two conspiracy theories can be crossed off the list.
As an aside, there was a rider at Bromont in the two star that was eliminated for blood in the mouth. I believe she had a stop and I believe she was eliminated in the vet box after completing. Christian was on the ground jury for the two star. I’m not sure if it was the vet or a member of he ground jury that eliminated the competitor.
Not who I was insinuating either
interesting about Bromont! Funny that never makes the evening news blogs.
ML wasn’t at Bromont. So, if Packy is correct, she got her training from Landholt separately. I wonder who paid him for her training.
She wasn’t at “the” Bromont in June but she was at the recent event at Bromont for the Aug mandatory outing for the WEG team. She had a drive by at the corners at 9ab & then came around & jumped through the direct route clean the 2nd time.
Sorry about that. I forgot about Bromont II, and I can’t think why I did.
If anyone is interested in the WEG officials, the list can be found here:

Jane Hamlin is the US member of the ground jury. Who is she?
