I came to possess a number of used Phoenix West tack trunks w. vinyl panels. I’m going to replace the panels with ones of my own program’s colors. **BUT, is there a market for used panels?[edit]
I would post to facebook market place. Depending on where you’re located there are a variety of groups you can post to. West Coast mainly uses Plaid Horse Thermal Classifieds, not sure about East Coast

When you take the old panels off they are not able to be used again. Usually pulling them off will damage them pretty badly. New panels come on plywood with adhesive backing but the old ones that you remove will unfortunately be trash.
The trim parts will be in bad shape too after removing.
Yes, pulling them off will damage them so they won’t really be able to be used again.
Maybe I just have older panels/trunks, but I’ve pulled off two sets successfully. And reapplied them successfully! The panels stay in great condition (partially bc of how I store them), and the trim parts look good. A small hammer works to apply the finishing nails, and a rubber mallet along the metal trim as you work along the edge does the trick. Looks good as new!
Yes, the panels are sticky on the back, and they lose some of that sticky when removed, but a couple thin lines of Gorilla Glue (specifically for wood and rubber) in the center of the panel makes them stick. The panels are also textured on the back, so that helps adhere to the wood of the trunk when you apply some glue. I’ve attached photos of the panels and trim after they’re removed from a trunk.
