Martin to sell Love the Chase......

Chromies will lose their minds if she is sold overseas.

I’m not concerned about the emotional problems of random internet obsessives. :wink:

I would however, like to know if someone well versed in T.B. lineage has an idea which stallions located outside the U.S. might be considered a good match for the mare.

When I was younger I thought I’d pursue having a few mares to breed and decided to educate myself on breeding, lineage, etc. Then I fell asleep.

 :lol::lol::lol:

I understand. I enjoy research but don’t have the expertise to make an educated guess in this case. I’m wondering if she might produce a turf horse if bred in that direction.

I’m the opposite. That’s my favorite part. :slight_smile:

I think it is one of the more interesting aspects of TB breeding, but I enjoy research.

I was hoping for an offhand opinion from someone in the business, but perhaps the “if it was my mare I might try this stallion for her” hypothetical isn’t of much interest.

I don’t expect anyone to do the research, I’m not [I]that[I] interested. Just curious if a horse from the Sunday Silence sire line or one of the turf sires in Europe might go well with her.

How funny you say that. Your question about potential stallions for Love the Chase had me looking at Sunday Silence sons for about an hour last night.

But, I’m a diehard Broad Brush fan, so I would cross her with Richard’s Kid, because he has a nice dose of Broad Brush and I like the idea of Private Account/more Numbered Account in her pedigree. I would have to be King of the World to do that, because no one else would put her with a lower-priced stallion. But I could, if I were King of the World.

LOL, I like painting too but not so much watching it dry!

Like LaurieB, I LOVE the breeding/pedigree details. I just run out of money!

I wish this mare lots of luck. It’s obviously a hard decision for the Martin’s to follow through on.
