One officer testified that they did not attempt to preserve the video evidence and then another one testified that when they attempted to access the cloud, months later, everything was gone. They held up the cameras and talked about it. So, you are incorrect that they didn’t seek footage from the cloud.

The nice health department person said that the house was a two family residence, main floor and 2nd floor. The fire department inspector said they checked to make sure no one was living in the basement. MHG said there were separate outside entrances to the 1st and 2nd floors and they all shared a common area. That fits with the drawing, stairs up the outside of the house to the second floor.

You are wrong but it is fine if you want to go with that. There are stairs to the outside from the basement. They show on that drawing. But, it is fine if you want to insist you know something different. We can all just weigh the accuracy of everything else you say knowing that you are refusing to admit that you are wrong in this case.

It looks to me like he fired 2 rounds at LK from the bush area (of which they found one), moved towards RG at the house and fired the third (which they found). Glad you posted this.

You do remember that they found Michael NG on all the charges against Robert Guy Goodwin/Jim E Stark/Superman, right?
And the lesser included charge only required them to find that Michael pointed a gun at RGG/JES/Superman and that too was NG.

I agree that the language used to describe her injuries is dramatic, and I agree that certain posters
are using specific language in an apparent effort to incite an emotional response. But I think it’s a bad look to try and minimize her injuries.

I was in no way trying to minimize her injuries!
Not even close to that.
I think we can all agree her injuries were pretty darn nasty.

I was simply rebutting the constant line of incorrect information about them and following the direction of @hut-ho78 who insisted I should listen to the thoracic surgeon’s testimony.

We can all agree she had serious injuries while being honest about what they were, how long she was in the hospital, how long she was on the ventilator, if she took a helicopter ride, etc.

I thought it came up in the testimony at the trial that all three phones were piled on the table together. Which seemed like an odd detail

It would not shock me if the phones were stacked on the table by LE and they just never explained that was not where the phones were actually found.

This is what I remember was one of the first stories told about what happened. Yes. She was reading on the couch on the porch.

That umbrella would block part of the view I would think. I have heard that shooting through glass can do all kinds of weird things to the path of a bullet. I am thinking shots were fired during a struggle on the ground by the truck.

Where IS the (per this pic it’s red) umbrella in the diagram?

And didn’t LK say she had been sitting on a sofa reading on the porch? Where is there any furniture on that landing? And what would even fit there?

Three years is a long time to be able to “clean up” your work record. There could have been a minor hand-slapping for the way the investigation was handled. Maybe those two delivered babies on a highway, participated in “shop with cops” events, organized money-raising endeavors for permanently injured officers.

There are a LOT of things that could be taken into account when a promotion is given. Just like, if you read the originally posted link to the disciplinary report, there are LOTS OF REASONS why police officers can be suspended or terminated from their jobs (like ‘not being a resident of New Jersey, as required’).

First you wanted the 2019 report. I found one. Then you said it didn’t give the information you needed which was to see if any of the officers were written up, reprimanded, disciplined for their role in the shooting. However, the report provided stated no discipline activity was reported for Morris County as well as a lot of other counties.

You aren’t looking for information unless it’s helps your fake story that LE did a bad job. You are only quibbling with me because you don’t like the facts.

No, I am just incredibly nosey, being a retired municipal worker. As I have stated many times before, I like to watch forensic shows (I’m watching one right now), and I have gotten used to the ‘supposed investigative procedures’ that these shows are always portraying.

I was thinking that because of the “kerfuffle” that must have happened after the shooting, that some disciplinary action, maybe even if just ‘verbal’, or reinforcement of proper investigative technique. Afterall, Michael Barisone was not just your average landlord with a tenant problem. There were eyes on this from much further away than just New Jersey, and I’m sure the local LEO were not expecting it. There was a big magnifying glass aimed on them, I’m sure, after everything.

As a former municipal worker, IF someone requested to speak to a supervisor, a supervisor was ALWAYS found. Sometimes not the one they asked for (“I want to speak to a WATER department supervisor right now!”), but we (the clerical staff) could find ANOTHER supervisor with enough knowledge to be able to handle the questions/situations. We never EVER shrugged off a citizen’s request to speak to someone more important that we were, although many times a supervisor told a citizen the exact same things we had just told that citizen.

Do you know that OUR police clerks can lose their jobs if they make a mistake when doing reports? They are not police officers but do handle complaints from people who “walk in.” LOSE their jobs. Over, possibility, a small mistake. It’s why the not-testing-for-GSR after the shooting, taking RG’s word who ‘was the shooter’, disregarding MB’s earlier request to speak to a supervisor, etc. just totally got to me.

I betcha the LEO of Morris Township are probably decent guys, but their casual response to MB’s calls and requests for help wasn’t professional. I’m sure that they didn’t expect the events of August 7th to happen, but that’s not really an excuse.

Although, I only vaguely knew of Michael Barisone through Stephen Colbert, the ‘equestrian’ background instantly drew me to find out ‘what happened.’ I haven’t been this curious (and incredulous) about an ‘athletic’ incident since Spider Sabich.

When I was much, MUCH younger, I used to write. At one time, I was writing an anthology of stories about women. Each of them was based on a personal trait or aspect of mine. I was trying to describe these different women’s characteristics to my cousin and stated that one, Thorn, was more “all of me.” Off the cuff I said to my cousin, “ALL that I am is Thorn. Thorn speaks for JUSTICE, and I SPEAK for Thorn.”

That’s what I want. Justice.
