I believe they were never searched. Can’t remember where that came up, possibly in the trial. After all, why would such a competent group search everything in the yard of a crime scene? Gotta give them credit though, they made note of the shovel in the back of MB’s truck. /s

Hey now, I’m not sure that’s fair to the judge. We saw earlier when JK did that, this judge dutifully sent the correspondence to the parties. I get being frustrated with the legal system, but I don’t like disparaging a judge who hasn’t shown himself to be corrupted.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to disparage the judge. But no matter how upstanding the judge is, JK has demonstrated that he thinks influence-peddling with various officials is A-OK.

I totally agree that JK is acting unethically! And he may well write another letter, but if he does, the judge seems perfectly happy to ignore and forward.

Which is just another great example of how inept the police work was, that only Michael’s truck was searched but nothing else in that area was.

For the crime scene experts here, why would cops take pictures of MB’s truck toolbox but not any of the other vehicles and the trailer? Do we think they did but just didn’t show them at the trial or just more sloppy work?

IIRC from the trial testimony, one of the officers testified that RG’s trucks and trailer were never searched. I assume the cops searched MB’s truck to make sure he didn’t have other weapons in it. And I have no doubt they didn’t feel the need to search the other vehicles because they had taken RG at his word that MB was the shooter. RG’s truck and trailer could have been loaded with multiple handguns and assault rifles and hollow-points and bomb-making material (and lots of SHOVELS!), but the Keystone Kops wouldn’t have known it because they DIDN’T BOTHER TO LOOK!
