“Deserves to get shot” is a firing squad. We don’t do that anymore although it may come back under law and due process. If so, then ok. If someone is shot in self defense, it wasn’t because they “deserved it,” it was to stop them from harming the shooter or other innocent party.
Self defense is not a constitutional right. The constitutional right is “A well regulated militia being necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
It doesn’t say shoot people, tenants, neighbors, annoying SM posters.
It’s why we have combat units in the National Guard instead of just support units who train similarly to their military job in their civilian job. Those wannabes aren’t “well regulated militias.”
the fact you are repeatedly misusing a term is a “red flag.”
If you said “The sky is purple on Fridays.” And I then QOUTED you by saying “@hut-ho78 says the sky is magenta on Saturday.” THAT would be a misquote. Do you understand? It’s not a synonym for misinterpretation.
We all know you are not a lawyer. We also know you are no more qualified than anyone else here. By your own admission you don’t look at other primary sources on social media (or perhaps that has now changed?)
Keep doing your Google searches, many of us do and have presented our findings on these threads. It does not mean that your interpretation is correct or that you are “overqualified.” If you truly felt so overqualified and put-upon, you would hop on your high horse and ride on out of these Barisone/Kanarek threads. Yet here you are.
Looks like your google law degree is failing you. You are flat out wrong.
In the 2008 case District of Columbia v. Heller, the Supreme Court held that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense.
So if “people, tenants, neighbors, or annoying SM posters” threaten you with death or serious bodily harm, you are lawfully authorized to use deadly force. That is self defense.
Or, maybe the fam tried to go to a social shin-dig down in Welly, and got laughed out of the party for saying you have to bow to your hippogriffs, I mean horses, to ask for respect. Sue CBS! We are social pariahs! Then, not one is going to give her an inch for making false reports to CPS. That was a big social no no. You arent gping to be accepted in society with that kind of behavior. Finding out they are personii non-gratii in the horse world after people saw 48 hours should have her fumimg.
I always wondered why Currently Clueless kept saying 48 hours presented a balanced report as though she thought it presented LK in a positive light. . I would think, really? She comes off as a deceitful grifter what are you so smiley about? She admitted to falsifying a report MB to CPS for sexual abuse, who exactly do you think is going to want you around their horses, children, barn? Or talk to you at a dinner party? You’re animals. It’s over. You did it to your selves.
I think they object to the family types who adopt the military branch for their own, as though THEY are Marine, or Navy, with car stickers, license plates, paraphernalia,
Even ro the extent of claiming they are ex military themselves (brothers or sons, say). It can get ridiculous when the whole family acts like they are Marine.
Interesting. She seemed so pleased after her interviews with 48 Hours, as if she just knew she had come across well. Delusions are running deep chez LK.
My retired Marine BF (30 years Sgt. Major) gave me a sticker to put on my car because he appreciates the support. He does not have a lot on his car, just two small ones. He never goes around bragging about his service and tells people he got two paychecks a month when they thank him for his service. He also spent years after the marines securing the consulates in other countries. Some people make a career out of letting people know they served, he does not and is the real deal.
So, I think I will go put that sticker on my car!
I highly doubt that 48Hours would agree to a contract that only allows them to portray a person a certain way. That is not how this stuff works.
I can see them agreeing to not ask certain questions. But the final cut of what is out there is not agreed to ahead of time.
It is the proud, supportive military families I so admire. The ones who quietly serve and defend this country with no need to promote themselves. I’m from the Vietnam Era where the returning vets were shunned as tho they started the war, yet they maintained their pride in their country and suffered silently with very little governmental support for their extreme mental issues. I experienced the dramatic change in personality with my brother and many others. They did their job as they were told. They hid their nightmares just as Iraqi veterans do now. I become very wrankled at any pretenders. They have no idea what it means to be a military veteran of any branch of service. To all those in the military, a sincere Thank You for your service.
48 Hours could have been truthfully and with documented proof brutal toward LK and she knows it. Little Miss dolled-up-to-pet-the-strange-horsey woman got off easy with CBS, yet the general public still saw through it all. I suspect her Tweet yesterday was nothing more than a cry for attention and support that failed miserably. The Kanareks must be in financial trouble to be so desperate for an easy payday.
