NJ works on a motion cycle. The judge probably has 30-60 motions coming in every two weeks to address. The motion date on the calendar is the date a motion can first be “heard,” although I’m sure the law clerk and judge have already read the motions by then. Publication of an opinion or order can happen any time after that. I’m sure this judge has more to do than this. It also depends on what else the judge’s staff has to address.

I hope that this thread will be shut down until there is some actual news on the legal front. Perhaps there could be a legal thread and a separate thread for those who are interested in the Kanarek’s day to day life, fashion sense, horse boarding situation etc…
Most people who are interested in the ongoing legal process of this case are not interested in the juvenile back and forth speculation about the personal life of LK, or her family. There seem to be some people here who are so invested in the whole sordid affair that they feel the need to keep up with LK’s social media postings about her shoes or her boarding arrangements. I assure you that most people couldn’t care less about the goings on of LK and her family, except for the legal filings, any more than they care about “the Kardashians”.
This fact has been addressed ad infinitum on these threads, yet still, the interest in the minutiae of these unpleasant people’s lives continues to be the subject of argument and debate for many posters.
The legal aspect of the case is interesting, however very few people care one whit about the personal lives of the Kanareks.

Correct. It’s any time after the motion date on ecourts. Of course, there is a cut off date for each motion cycle, so if they wanted it to be heard on the next motion cycle, the attorneys would have to file by a certain time in advance. I don’t remember the specific time frame, it’s been awhile since I’ve worked in NJ.
ETA: there is a certain expectation that motions won’t linger, but there’s a lot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes.

Some of the motions are from 2 months ago, and still have not been decided. I can’t imagine how frustrating that would be to still be waiting on an answer.

Barisone was listed as permanently ineligible after his arrest and charges in the shooting. In May, after he was found not guilty for insanity, SS changed his status to a temporary suspension.
When someone is listed as temporary suspension, that means the SS center is conducting an investigation. That investigation could result in a permanent sanction or a lifting of any sanction.
So, CH is not making anything up.

BTW we now see the motive behind this ongoing insistence that the NGRI verdict means MB was found to have shot LK. And that he is still a danger.
That’s clearly being done to assert the SS suspension should not be lifted. It will be used to try and keep MB from ever competing again. It’s a punitive act. A gotcha by grifters.
Will it work? I certainly hope not. What a travesty it would be if it did while the real culprit of this sick twisted drama could go on to compete even though they don’t.
