I do not disagree with in theory, because I know how much work it is when you are the owner, not just a boarder.
But… You knew there would be a but, right?
Lauren Kanarek is not that logical. I would guess that in her mind if she owned the place she would just hire people to do the things she wants done and she could be the queen.
Heck with those problems like no one wanting to work for her because she is likely a horrible to work for boss. Heck with those problems like no one wanting to do business with her (hay, etc).
Heck with the fact that the barn owner has to step up and clean the stalls when their employee calls in sick because animals do not care that you do not want to do the work, it has to get done.
I must say thank you @EADoug for sharing your experiences. You are making things more clear. It is hard to imagine there are people who think like that. (But then, there are posters on this very forum that make it very clear that maybe people who think like that are more common than many of us think.)
