Found a couple old threads on this, but looking for up-to-date info. (Especially since it looks like they were bought out by Alltech recently.) I fed McCauley’s years ago and was very happy with it. Is it still a good feed/company? Advantages over other brands? Thanks
Thanks for the update on McCauleys, @AJeventer! Glad to hear they are still as good a company as ever, even after some of the changes in their business. Sure says something when people are willing to drive a ways to get it. Your horse looks wonderful!
My picky eater loves McCauley’s M10 ration balancer. I believe their plant is Equine only (so you should not have to worry about cattle additives).
I fed The Alam product to my mare who is a hard keeper. She tends to get spooky on higher NSC feeds, as well as those that rely on rice bran for calories. She also is susceptible to ulcers. Alam was perfect for her! She was able to put on/maintain weight, and her coat was so healthy! I only stopped feeding it this past fall because I moved barns and wanted to try using their feed to save some money. Big mistake! I love the product and wish more barns in our area offered it.
