McCauley's Senior Texturized Feed

Is anyone feeding/has fed McCauley’s Senior Texturized Feed?

I’m currently paying $38.99/bag for TC Senior Gold, but honestly the results aren’t justifying the price tag. McCauley’s Senior Texturized Feed is under $24/bag and with as much as I’m already supplementing, I’d still be coming out ahead. I also like that they are an equine only facility.

What have your experiences been?

Is it basically what we used to call a sweet feed?

Is it really cheaper when the feeding recommendations are .5-1lb per 100lbs per day?

It’s hardly what I’d consider a sweet feed ( a corn, oats, molasses dominate “feed”), though they do have other feeds in their line that certainly are. Ingredient wise, I’d find it pretty comparable to TC Senior.
Just looking for other’s who have used the product experiences.

It’s definitely not a sweet feed with the first ingredients being "Dehydrated beet pulp, soybean hulls, oat hulls, wheat middlings, soybean meal, dehydrated alfalfa meal, flaxseeds, "

What results are you seeing/not seeing? One of the price increases is the added gastric support, so if you don’t need that, I don’t see why you can’t make the change. The form of the minerals added are fine (not cheap stuff that’s not bioavailable), they do use synthetic Vit E so make sure you’re taking that into account (TC uses a 50/50 mix of synthetic and natural), and just see what happens
