Mclain during medal ceremony

[QUOTE=His Greyness;3455247]

It’s rather depressing to me that Americans get more emotional over the flag than you do over the Constitution…

Oh my, so succinct, so wonderful, so true, such perfect phrasing–I will be stealing it! :yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:

Guys…gals…WHO CARES???
The United States Equestrian Team wins a Gold Medal at the Olympics and we’re all sittin’ here arguing over SUCH a trivial thing.
Some of us are patriotic, some of us are not. Get over it.
One last thing, I don’t care if you’re atheist or not, our country has rules, laws, traditions…if you don’t like it…GET OUT! I love my country and I love the fact that we all have freedom of speech, but good Lord put your freedom of speech to good use and stop fighting battles that just won’t ever be won.

That statement has me in stitches, really.

If you don’t like it, get out? How droll.

GOD BLESS McLAIN.

If, at the closing ceremony, he had a black-gloved fist raised in the air I would be aghasted.

Your mom is looking down in awe of her blessed baby boy. I know she is so proud of you!
And congrats, Barney - you sure taught that kid how to ride! THANKS

This American is SO proud of our team!

Beyond the fact that this discussion concerns a member of the the USA’s GOLD MEDAL Olympic Team (woo-hoo!), it’s not horse-related.
