MD FTGH- 5yo TB Mare- best suited for a Broodmare Job

UPDATED with pictures

Finally updating with pictures! She is such a sweet mare that my 7 year old son has given her her nickname. She is now Kisses around the barn. She’s also now sound in turnout (in a small paddock) so I’m thinking she may require minimum maintenance to be pasture sound.

Here’s pictures.

I have had horses with condylar fractures come back to race. It is probably best to plan for her to be pasture sound only but in my experience that isn’t usually the case.

Lovely horse!

Thank you both.

Yes, Laurierace, I had a horse with a condylar fracture come back to race too and saw many more, but on the x-rays, she also has quite a bit of arthritis in her ankles as well as a bone spur, both unrelated to the fracture. She has also, already lost much of the flexion in her ankles. But as long as she is pasture sound and happy, we are happy.

Thanks for the photos! Lovely! She must be special since your picky mare liked her at once.

I hope no one will chase her around , she does look a bit “ouchy”.
