MDC S Flex Stirrup v. Royal Rider Flex Stirrups?

I’ve been a loyal Royal Rider Flex Stirrup fan for years. They make the difference of whether I can walk at the end of a day of riding, with my reconstructed calcaneous…mine are black and was looking to get a pair of wide footbed “silver” stirrups in case I ever want to throw in an equitation class.

Before I go and buy some grey Royal Riders, has anyone tried the MDC S Flex and how do they compare?

They certainly look more like traditional stirrups, so that’s a plus, but I do know and love the ride feel of the Royal Riders.

Thanks in advance!

I am also curious about this, both the regular S and the Flex version.

What kind of pain were you having? I used to have a lot of trouble with the outside tendon in my calves, but I do well now riding my mare HS Flex stirrups. I still have trouble with my gelding though. He’s a mutton withered keg on legs paint gelding that I had to get a custom BC saddle for. The insanely wide twist and his fat body put a lot of strain on my calves. I have MDC flex stirrups on the saddle and ride with a quarter turn, but I didn’t experience any magical fix :frowning:
