We had the horses in for a few days because of a fall storm. Matilda had the zoomies when we turned them out. We had to wait until she stopped running around to put her sun mask on, lol. Bitsey was feeling lazy, but Tony and Maggie played with her.
What fun!! So good to see them all acting silly, but especially Matilda. She looks great!!
This is the absolute best!
Wow… she really does look like a different horse. You’ve done an amazing job with her.
I know there is a Horse Heaven, because Matilda has found it.
She looks plenty sound. Is your son doing any light riding?
Nah, we’re giving her more time. An old abscess is still growing out.
My heart just swelled a bit
Seeing Matilda looking so good & having FUN!
Her markings really pop so much more now that you’ve got her skin and coat in such good condition!
She’s turned into a glamour girl!
Oh, the zoomie pictures make me smile. Matilda looks so happy and in such good condition. Here’s hoping the abscess clears up quickly!
It’s an old abscess. It left a big crack in her hoof, but it healed up a long time ago. It flared out enough to get a little trim this last time. Her hooves look so much better. I need to get pictures. Plus, she didn’t need any meds to get her feet done. That’s a big change.
We were out of town for a week. This morning was the first time I did the chores. After I haltered Matilda and was about to lead her to turnout when she gently pushed her nose against my chest and snuffled softly. Her eyes were soft and calm. She was having another moment. I told her I was happy to see her, too and gave her some scratches before turning her out. She is a sweet horse.
Awww …! (sniff, smile)
It’s nice to see Maggie looking so good too.
Great pic!
Could be your holiday card
Awww… Her Welcome Home snuggle
I wonder if she thought you’d left her for good?
Poor girl, had such a rough patch…
Lovely picture!
It’s funny, based on her photos with no humans in them, I assumed she was a lot taller.
Our boy is tall, lol. Taller than my husband and I.
Uhm, who is that chubby, mostly white horse with the ample winter coat and curvaceous booty?
I know! But her adorable medicine hat gives it away.
